We departed SFO at 3 pm and arrived in Paris after a 10.5 hour flight, arriving at around 10 am. Our friends Irene & Robert are with us for our 8 day stay.
I can’t sleep on planes so I feel like a zombie. We are staying at a hotel just off our favorite street, Rue Cler, which filled with cafes, Patisseries, small restaurants and fruit vendors.

We walked a couple of blocks to the Eiffel Tower, but unfortunately there is construction around it, but that doesn’t hide the iconic landmark
It’s chilly, so I have to remember to wear lots of layers, and to have a bowl of French Onion soup at a cafe on Rue Cler:
