One of the things that I’ve been looking forward to on this trip to Paris was having a cup of thick hot chocolate at Angelina, near the Tuileries garden. There was a half hour wait to get into the restaurant, but it turned out to me worth it. We had their brunch, which consisted of a cup of hot chocolate, baguette, chocolate croissant, orange juice, eggs Benedict, and dessert of a dessert crepe or French toast. The hot chocolate was very good, however, I had thought that it would be very thick like the hot chocolate that we’ve had in Madrid, which was so thick that a churro would stand up in the chocolate.
I thought the star of the meal was a French toast, which tasted of custard.
The room was crowded, but elegant.
